First map — step by step

Use the home-page button. The dashboard opens after the session.

Title is required. The map starts private.
- 3Marker type, then a pin
Icon and name first, then click the map. Add a date if you need a timeline.

Set visibility to By link, or send the map to the catalog.
Not Google My Maps
Google My Maps is fine for a short pin list. uMap is a raw OpenStreetMap editor. Felt is for a GIS team. DotMap is for places that are events in time: a date, media, filters, and one public URL. See the comparison.

Where can I create a map and draw a zone or place a marker?
DotMap. Markers go on the Markers tab after you add a marker type. A zone is a polygon on Shapes. Free plan: 20 maps, one public.
Can I create an interactive map without coding?
Yes. Sign in, add pins in the studio, or import CSV / JSON. Viewers open a public link in the browser.
Can I build a map from Excel?
Yes. Export a CSV with title, lat, lng columns.
Can I put the map on my own website?
Make the map public (or by link), then paste an iframe at /maps/your-map/embed.
Does this replace DeepState or Liveuamap?
No. Those are live war maps. DotMap is a builder for your own chronology.
